What is IBS-D?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common gastrointestinal disorder. The main symptom of IBS is abdominal pain. Diarrhea is another symptom that may occur for people with IBS, this is known as IBS-D. This disorder affects the large intestine causing abdominal pain and bowel changes. The cause of IBS is unknown, but the symptoms of IBS-D can make this disorder hard to manage.

Symptoms of IBS-D often include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Cramping and/or bloating
  • Diarrhea
  • Frequent use of the restroom

Now enrolling participants for an IBS-D clinical study to help evaluate the efficacy of an investigational medication for abdominal pain associated with IBS-D.

Participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Ages 18 and older
  • Diagnosed with IBS-D
