We Don’t Sugarcoat, Managing Diabetes in Kids Can Be Challenging

What is Type II Diabetes?

Type II Diabetes is a condition that affects the way your body uses sugar (glucose). This condition occurs when the body is unable to use insulin properly or the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin. Insulin helps lower the amount of sugar (glucose) in the bloodstream, and glucose is the main source of fuel for your body. Type II diabetes used to be known as adult-onset diabetes, but today more children are being diagnosed with the disorder.
